Introduction


Lisa Keskinen founded Lisa K Connections in 2003 with a mission to:



- provide high quality teacher professional development services

- inspire and encourage teachers to enhance their professional knowledge and skills

- improve the quality of teaching and learning practices in schools, therefore improving student outcomes

- model and demonstrate effective teaching and learning practices

- focus on whole school approaches to school improvement

- continually evaluate and improve the services provided

Lisa Keskinen

Lisa Keskinen loves to travel and experience the beauty of our world. From Alaska to Kathmandu, from Lapland to Kakadu, she has filled her senses with many captivating landscapes and cultures.

Lisa is a motivating speaker, experienced education consultant and author. She has a passion for enhancing teaching and learning experiences in schools, particularly in literacy.  Lisa has a strong background in effective classroom teaching, has worked as an Early Years Literacy Coordinator in Melbourne, Australia and as a literacy consultant in New York and New Jersey, USA.

Lisa has presented at conferences and conventions, both locally and overseas, speaking on a range of literacy issues and presenting her inspiring work with students on Multigenre Writing Projects.  Lisa is currently based in Melbourne, Australia, running her educational consultancy business ‘Lisa K Connections’.




Jo Jarwood

Within her 20 year teaching career, Jo Jarwood has worked in primary schools and specialist schools in England, New Zealand, Japan and Australia.  She has worked at all year levels of primary school as well as lecturing at The University of Ballarat.  Jo has a broad range of professional experience in many diverse teaching and learning contexts. Jo worked closely with Lisa as classroom teachers, for several years. Together they developed and implemented powerful literacy programs in their classrooms, including
Multigenre Writing Projects.

Jo strongly believes that her success in the classroom is reliant on the relationships formed between teachers, students and parents. Jo communicates her message, in an authentic and passionate way, to audiences of all ages.
